BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE AND FIGHTSTAR
CONCERT FOR TEENAGE CANCER TRUST ANNOUNCED!

Teenage Cancer Trust announce today that Welsh metalcore band, Bullet for My Valentine, will headline Saturday night at the charity’s renowned Royal Albert Hall shows in March this year. Tickets for the gig on Saturday 28 March, which are expected to sell-out, go on sale this Friday (20 February 2009) at 9am.

Bullet for My Valentine’s 2006 debut album The Poison sold more than one-million copies worldwide and the band are now flying high on the success of their second album ‘Scream Aim Fire’. Last year they picked up the gong for best British band at the Kerrang! Awards. Joining them for this exclusive event are The Blackout and Fightstar.

The Blackout have been regulars on the UK touring circuit playing with huge names such as Linkin Park, Lostprophets and N.E.R.D . They will release their follow up to breakthrough album ‘We Are The Dynamite’ in May this year.

Led by singer Charlie Simpson, Fightstar have just finished recording their 3rd studio album. Last summer they opened the main stage at legendary rock festival Download, and headlined Guilfest, Summer Slam and Greenbelt Festival. They currently have their brand new single ‘Mercury Summer’ blasting out across BBC’s Radio 1.

Lead singer for Bullet for My Valentine, Matthew Tuck said: “It’s a real honor to be headlining for Teenage Cancer Trust this year. Many of our fans are a similar age to the young people that Teenage Cancer Trust supports. So it’s really hit home for us that having cancer at such a crucial time in a young person’s life must be devastating. We are proud to be involved and hope the concerts raise as much money as possible for their incredible work.”
